You can have high bG even on a strict ketogenic diet. Keto can control bG, it did for me for two decades, but it didn’t lower my insulin, so my diabetes continued to progress. I had bG over 300 in spite of even a zero-carb diet after my pancreatitis attack for over a *year* until I had a heart attack and wound up on ever-increasing doses of insulin.

I got much worse on insulin, nearly died several times and was on the brink of death when I discovered I only had half the answer with keto; I needed fasting to reverse my diabetes and kick diabetes to the curb.
