4 Chicken thigh fillets
one small-medium red onion
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 small piece of ginger
Salt to taste
1 tsp oregano flakes
1 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper powder (you can replace with chilli flakes)
3 tsp hot sauce
1 large egg
50 gms mozarella cheese
50 gms unflavoured whey protein isolate powder
Oil for deep frying
Mince together chicken thigh fillets, onion, ginger and garlic.
Add salt, black pepper, oregano flakes, rosemary, baking powder, cayenne pepper/chilli flakes, hot sauce and egg to the mince and mix it really well.
Cover the mince and let it sit in the fridge for 30 mins.
After 30 minutes, oil your hands and make some circles out of the mince. This will take some practice as the chicken mince is delicate but the end result will be worth your wait.
Add some mozarella cheese in the circles and gently roll them in shape of balls.
Gently add the balls (one by one) to a box filled with whey protein and roll them so that they are coated with whey.
Deep fry them on medium heat for 7-8 minutes and you are all set.
