Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry:
Serves 2
1 LB thinly sliced steak (recommended rib eye, NY strip or flank steak)
1 TB garlic powder
1TB ground ginger
Kosher or Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
Fresh Ground Black Pepper
2 Scallions thinly sliced
1 1/2 TB garlic finely minced
Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1/2 Cup Red Bell pepper thin sliced
1/2 Cup Carrot matchsticks
1/2 Cup Shiitake Mushrooms thinly sliced
1 Cup Green Cabbage thinly sliced
1 Cup Red Cabbage thinly sliced


Heat a large sauté pan on medium high heat.

Season beef with ground ginger, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Add 2Tb of oil to hot pan. Place meat in a pan in single layer being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

Cook meat for 1 to 2 minutes without moving.

Turn meat over cook for one minute and remove from pan along with any pan drippings.

Add 2 TB of oil to pan.

Add minced garlic, ginger and scallions.

Season lightly with salt and pepper and sauté for one minute careful not to burn.

Add peppers, carrots and mushroom, green and red cabbage. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Continue to sauté on high heat stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

Add chicken stock, tamari and steak with drippings.

Sauté for 3 more minutes and taste.

Adjust seasoning with salt if necessary.

Serve immediately.
