*KETO* Island Shrimp Burgers

These Keto Island Shrimp Burgers are tasty and effortless to prepare. When you buy shrimp burgers, they are so expensive, and loaded with fillers. That’s why this recipe only has shrimp and seasonings! When you eat one of these, you’ll feel like you’re at the beach, under a coconut tree on your favorite island! I hope you enjoy this recipe. This is great for those on keto, low-carb diets or even for those who eat carbs. Happy cooking!
Brian Shaw’s tip for burgers: />
1 ½ lbs of shrimp yielded 6 burger patties (3 inches in diameter and ¾ inch thick).

Protein: 139 g 1 burger- 23.2 g
Carbs: 10 g 1 burger- 1.6 g
Fat: 20 g burger- 3.3 g

You need:
1 ½ lbs of Shrimp, shelled and deveined. (mince ¾ and chop ¼) – *scallops are a great alternative*

1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon of bandhania/culantro/recao/ngo gai/ sawtooth coriander

1 tablespoon of chopped scallion (aka chive in T&T)

6-8 cloved of garlic, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely diced

1 ½ teaspoons of ginger

2 pimento peppers

2 scotch bonnet peppers

1 teaspoon of lemon zest

1 ½ tablespoon of avocado oil for frying

Salt & Pepper (to your preference)

*1 large egg can also be added*

Cook for 4 minutes per side or in the oven for 15 minutes at 375 F. The patties can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 month before cooking.
