What is the Keto Diet?
The Ketogenic (Keto) diet is when you eat high amounts of fat and small amounts of carbs to enter a state of ketosis. In ketosis, your body burns ketones (instead of glucose) for energy, which provides numerous physical benefits for your body.

✔️Before you start your Ketogenic journey, please ensure you’ve seen your GP and they approve of it first.
✔️To start Keto, you need to work out your macros first. Your macros are how many calories you should be eating from fat, protein and carbohydrates. The 3 things you need to know is your height, weight and body fat % go to and work them out.
✔️After you’ve worked out your macros, use an appropriate macros or carb tracker app. I use free fitness pal and edit my macros in setting, but there is many out there, so choose what suits your needs.
✔️Lastly, track what you eat into your macros or fitness pal tracker, including how much water you drink and the amount of exercise you engage in. Try and stick under 20-25g of carbs per day.
✔️On the Ketogenic way of living, you may need take additional supplements, these can include magnesium, sodium, ketones, collagen and MCT oil. These are optional and if you are eating all your required vitamins you shouldn’t need them.
