Low Carb Sawmill Sausage Gravy Recipe – Keto Country Gravy Recipe

RECIPE (Makes 6 servings – 293 calories, 3.4g net carbs each)

1 lb ground pork sausage
2 oz cream cheese
3/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp bacon fat
1 tsp xanthan gum*
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder

(*Xanthan gum is optional. If you omit it, double the cream cheese.)

In a large skillet, brown the sausage in the bacon fat. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and mix well.

Add the water and heavy cream, stirring on medium heat. When it reaches a simmer, add the cream cheese and xanthan gum. Mix well to prevent lumps. Allow to simmer for a few minutes to thicken.
