Shrimp Creole Recipe. Delicious Jumbo Creole Shrimp And Okra Over Rice Recipe.
2 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon garlic (minced garlic)
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup celery
1/2 cup bell pepper green/red
1/2 cup green onions
One cup yellow onions diced
2 tablespoons parsley dried/fresh
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 14 ounce canned tomatoes (diced)
2 cups chicken stock/or bouillon cube
1 tablespoon Louisiana hot sauce
One tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon white ground pepper
Shrimp (peeled & deveined)
Okra’s (Cut into pieces)
Adding oil and butter in large sauce pan or pot over medium high heat.
Adding onions, celery, green/red bell peppers to melted butter.
Cooking and stirring occasionally until veggies starts to soften, process usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes.
Adding minced garlic, combining and cooking until fragrant.
Adding tomatoes, chicken broth, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, white pepper, black pepper, cayenne pepper, bay leaves and thyme.
Bringing to a boil, then reducing heat to low simmer until sauce is slightly thickened.
Removing and discarding bay leaves.
Adding butter for extra flavor and stirring until completely melted.
Taking a final taste test and adding additional seasoning if necessary.
